WORST MOTHER IN THE WORLD!!!!!

this is how the worst day of my life went down today, as outlined by our local paper The Advertiser:

Child rescued from locked car
A CHILD has been rescued from a locked car after being trapped inside for about 20 minutes.Police and ambulance officers were called to an ABC Learning Centre at Bedford Park where a three-year-old girl was accidentally locked in a car.
The girl's mother had placed the child in a car seat and left the keys on a seat before getting up to put something in the boot of the car.
At that point it is understood the child locked herself in the car. The mother then rang police and then the child's father who brought another set of keys to unlock the car.
Ambulance Communications team leader Dieter Scheurich said the mother was "more distressed" than the child.
"This was an accidental `lock-in'," he said.
"The mother did the right thing by calling police straight away."
Police then rang ambulance officers.
Mr Scheurich reminded parents that children should never be left unattended in cars.
"You never know how hot it's going to be (in the car) even on a (mild) day like today," he said.

I would not agree with all the facts of this report, for example, she is 2 & a half, I never went to put anything in the boot & Olivia had already pressed the lock button before I had hopped out the car but it didnt register until I had taken the keys away from her, thrown them on the front seat & then closed the door.

Olivia took the commotion quite well but who could blame a 2 & a half year old for being a little upset about being trapped in a seat, in a car while police are trying to "break into" the car & mum is also on the outside trying to hold it together.

Nikki & Jess at childcare were fantastic & I will never complain about paying taxes again because I will never get a chance to properly thank the police & ambulance staff. Oh & who can forget the knight in shining armour..... Neil!!

I love you Olivia & I'm enternally sorry that you also had the such a bad day.

(note to self: never put so much as a hair outside of the car without keys in my hand)
