at 2 & a half did I fight sleep every night until I could fight no more? Did it ever take up to 2 hours for mum & dad to finally "win" the sleep battle? Were they as relieved as we are to know that we wont see our child for the next 9 hours? Is this carma biting me in the butt?

Then at five she can come out every couple of minutes with a new and improved reason why she can't go to sleep. It will be much more frustrating when she can make you apologise for not listening to her at 9pm. You listen because you care. You don't smack because...you can't remember why because you are so tired.
